Southwestern Sausage and Green Chili Quiche

I don’t know what has gotten into me, but I have been in a quiche mood lately. I have learned I absolutely love them. They are very economical and you can customize them with whatever you have on hand.  Basically it is  5 eggs to 1 cup of milk 1 cup of cheese then 1 cup to 2 cups of leftovers (meats, or veggies). They are also very good freezer meals.
  Here is my latest

South Western Sausage and Green Chili Quiche

1/2 tsp. of cumin
1 small can of green chilies
1 store bought or homemade pie crust.

In a sauté pan fry up sausage until cooked thoroughly. Drain grease and set aside sausage. In same pan using the butter and olive oil, sauté
onions until tender approximately 5 minute and set aside to cool for about 5 minutes. In a bowl mix eggs, salt, pepper, cumin and green chili's then add cooled sausage and onions
Pour into a 9 inch pie pan that has been covered with unbaked pie shell. Bake in oven for approximately 1 hr. or until the center comes out clean when you check it with a knife.
